Pam Laursen- Friends President
Pamela Laursen has been involved in community endeavors for over 30 years. She has been involved with performing arts nonprofits (dance and community) in South Carolina in fundraising, grant writing, board service and development, and show productions. Pamela has also organized student volunteers for Relay for Life and blood drives. In Dillon, Montana, she serves on the Beaverhead Trails Coalition board, is a member of Southwest Montana Arts Council, serves as President of Friends of the Library, and supports the Walking School Bus program. Soon after moving to Dillon in 2017, she began visiting the library and found it to be a a wonderful source of information. The staff is very friendly and guided her for job hunting and in general inquiries. She began volunteering for library events in support of the library and to learn about the Dillon community. The Dillon Public Library is a focal point for the community at large offering multiple events and activities for people of all ages every month. Community improvement is one of its goals. Pamela has been a volunteer for most of her life. It is a way to get to know the community where one resides and to help make it better by serving the public interest. Pamela is a certified nurse assistant at Pioneer Care and Rehabilitation in Dillon, MT.

Debbie Sporich- Treasurer
Debbie serves on the board of two non-profit groups. She is Treasurer of the Dillon Friends of the Library as well as a founding member. At the age of 16 Debbie served on her first advisory library board. During her 3 years on that board they hired a librarian and built a new library. All told she spent 22 years on library boards. She is a strong believer in access to books and information for all. She is active with the Beaverhead Business Builders and Team Dillon. Through the Montana Youth Challenge program The Bookstore offers retail internships for cadets. Debbie has been active as a mentor for creative writing students. Through the Bookstore she offers employment to high school students, providing them work experience as well as helping them to develop time management skills. The Bookstore is often their first employment and helps them hone their skills and find their strengths in preparation for that next step after high school graduation. The Bookstore actively donates to many diverse and well deserved programs in our community. It hosts author events, art walks, story time, and field trips.
